Queen of the Hills (2022)

This video montage examines the ‘hill station’ as a place of absurdity and aspiration. Perched along a ridge in the foothills of the Himalayas, a town that once embodied colonial hierarchy and segregation now appeals to the desires of an ascendant tourist class.


Stories from the Parade Point House (2022)

In this ongoing documentary project, a father and daughter reflect on their experiences growing up in a hill station in northern India and the ways that it has evolved over the years. They draw on their personal observations and rich historical knowledge to tell stories of the town in some of its brightest and more challenging moments.

Drag It Up! Workshop by Critical Queer Solidarity (2021)

‘Drag it up!’ was a week-long youth exchange by organized by Critical Queer Solidarity with support from Erasmus+ and the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Europe. Through creativity, theater and art, the program was designed to empower young queer people from Europe, the Middle East and North Africa to experience various forms of gender expression and performances. Participants were also encouraged to fight discrimination and isolation.

Klooch ‘ЦЕ Є ЖИТТЯ - This is life’ (2020)

Ukrainian-Canadian band Klooch’s ‘ЦЕ Є ЖИТТЯ (This is life)’ music video recalls a familiar saying by the singer’s Ukrainian grandmother. The video weaves in iconic cultural motifs and was designed for viewers in the Ukrainian diaspora as well as in Ukraine.

Wizzy ‘وسام - ضو عيوني - Light of my Eyes’ (2020)

This music video follows Syrian performer, Wizzy, through the heart of Berlin, as he reflects on a distant lover and his journey to Europe.

Liebesbrief an die Liebig 34 (2020)

Directed by Lauren Klinger, this ethnographic film explores a Berlin neighborhood’s relationship to the Liebig 34 anarcho-feminist squat, which faces eviction.

Dancing with Le Pen (2018)

France, 2017: presidential elections bring the far-right closer to power than ever. Through a mix of archives and vérité, Dancing With Le Pen traces the irresistible rise of one of Europe's most dangerous party: the 'National Front'.


Mosaic (2017)

A dissection of hybrid identity in ten chapters through the life of a chimeric evolving creature 'Mosaic' and confessions by the most influentials scientists of our time.


Remnants of the Hive (2017)

After the apocalypse, 15 year-old Mina is faced with the role of caregiver as her grandfather’s memory begins to deteriorate. By considering parallels between the behaviors of honeybees and humans, this short narrative film explores the distinction between love and obligation and the implications of sacrifice. It stars award-winning American artist, John Torreano, alongside British-Algerian actress, Farah Taleb, and was shot on location in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It premiered at the Cannes Court Métrage in 2017.

Kállay Saunders Band music video. It was shot in Budapest.

4555 (2016)

A documentary short film by Emirati director and award-winning photographer, Shakhbout Al Kaabi. The film investigates the growing phenomenon of license-plate auctions in the U.A.E. and considers this trend in the context of modern Emirati identity and history.


Torn Kandoora (2016)

Torn Kandoora is a narrative short film that explores false perceptions and representations of gender, clothing, family and cultural customs, particularly in regards to Arabs and the Arab world as it is depicted in Western media.

The Stairway Confessional (2016)

This film was submitted as a final project for director Scandar Copti’s ‘Singular Drama’ course, based on Copti’s method for directing non-actors.

Fair Trade (2015)

A former passport dealer must help a friend get away from a collapsing human trafficking business and its vengeful procurer. This short film stars award-winning Hungarian actress, Gabriella Hamori and was directed by Krisztian Nagy.
