Queen of the Hills (2022)

This video montage examines the ‘hill station’ as a place of absurdity and aspiration. Perched along a ridge in the foothills of the Himalayas, a town that once embodied colonial hierarchy and segregation now appeals to the desires of an ascendant tourist class.

Stories from the Parade Point House (2022)

In this ongoing documentary project, a father and daughter reflect on their experiences growing up in a hill station in northern India and the ways that it has evolved over the years. They draw on their personal observations and rich historical knowledge to tell stories of the town in some of its brightest and more challenging moments.

Drag It Up! Workshop by Critical Queer Solidarity (2021)

‘Drag it up!’ was a week-long youth exchange by organized by Critical Queer Solidarity with support from Erasmus+ and the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Europe. Through creativity, theater and art, the program was designed to empower young queer people from Europe, the Middle East and North Africa to experience various forms of gender expression and performances. Participants were also encouraged to fight discrimination and isolation.
